Coaching Skills for ManagersDifferent people have different ways of learning, developing and understanding the world. Coaching utilises the skills of active listening, to absorb someone else's story; problem solving, to breakdown their story into bite size chunks and wriggle out the pieces they may not be fully appreciating; and reflection, to show their story back to them accurately and taking them through all of those areas that they may be undervaluing to understand the key learnings. Coaching is now one of the main methods used by Managers for development, to build confidence and to enable sustained personal growth.
